Meet our Employees

Greg F.

Production Support Technician

  • 1. Tell me what your role involves.

I am responsible for the management of the consumables in the stores at SST.  This includes buying, negotiating and keeping track of all consumables.  I also manage the goods out department which includes, packing and ensuring all the correct documentations are in place in order to ship our products to our customers correctly.

  • 2. What attracted you to join SST?

I was and am the 18th person to join SST when the company first started. I saw an advert for a production coordinator and knew one of the directors and fancied a challenge so I applied.

  • 3. What did you do before you came here?

I was a sales manager for a hospitality company who covered the motorsport and motorbike markets.

  • 4. What do you love about working here?

Everyone keeps telling me I should retire but everyday I wake up and I look forward to coming to work.  Everyday at SST is never a dull day, different challenges occur and I also enjoy the people interaction!

Cain R.

Production Engineer (was Apprentice)

  • 1. Tell me what your role involves.

My role at SST is to help the fabrication team in producing exhaust systems to a high standard, whilst also learning valuable welding techniques to help better my abilities. I also help out in various other departments such as insulation, jig build, tube making and the aluminium section.

  • 2. What attracted you to join SST?

I approached Abingdon and Witney College for an apprenticeship, based on my qualifications from school. I was delighted they found me an apprenticeship here. As I was already interested in motorsport and had an engineering qualification it seemed the obvious choice to come here and progress my career in a dynamic, innovative company.

  • 3. What did you do before you came here?

Before my apprenticeship at SST Technology, I was studying my A levels whilst working in a supermarket part time. However I found that A levels weren’t for me so I chose an alternative route and came to SST full time as an apprentice.

  • 4. What do you love about working here?

I really enjoy working with the people here, its a great team spirit and the good working hours. I have been shown many valuable skills by highly skilled colleagues whom I still learn from and these skills shown to me ‘hands-on’ are complimented by the theory that I learn at College.
