The first Apprenticeship Scheme has been a success!
2013 saw SS Tube Technology’s first ever apprenticeship scheme run and the two candidates; Alex and Cain have almost completed their first year and they have not only learnt new skills and knowledge but they have also been a great asset to the company as they have both contributed greatly in the production output.
Alex commented: “The apprenticeship scheme has been a very rewarding process so far, I’ve been learning a wide range of skills from an experienced and helpful workforce. They are all willing to help when needed so you never feel left in the dark about anything with an overall professional atmosphere and approach.”
Cain commented: “I’m glad I took this apprenticeship as I have learnt how to machine efficiently and to an extremely high standard. This is very important as it is such a big part in all engineering sectors.”
The SS Tube Technology apprenticeship scheme will also provide great opportunities after they complete their two year course at college. Further training and qualifications will be available to help progress the apprentices career path for the future.
Due to the success of the scheme, SS Tube Technology are planning to continue to work with the local Abingdon and Witney College and take on a further two apprentices to start this September 2014.
