Prime Minister David Cameron visits SS Tube Technology
The Prime Minister David Cameron MP, visited Polar Technology Management Group in Eynsham, Oxfordshire today (12 June 2015) to see one of the UK’s most dynamic and successful businesses.
The Prime Minister praised Polar Technology Management Group for its bold and innovative approach, which has put it at the forefront of its industry.
Polar Technology Management Group is a rapidly growing group of advanced engineering businesses made up of SS Tube Technology, Lentus Composites and Horizon Engineering.
The Prime Minister had the opportunity to see all three companies in action and to review the vision of the group which is to become a world leader in the design, development and manufacture of advanced engineering products for the Motorsport, Automotive, Aerospace, Energy and Oil and Gas sectors. This vision is underpinned by a proven track of innovation leading to a strong IP portfolio which allows Polar Technology Management Group to secure new business in advanced manufacturing in the UK and to create high value jobs and apprenticeships. A large proportion of the products made in the group are ultimately exported.
The Prime Minister discussed the creation of employment and opportunities for talented young people within Polar Technology Management Group, and the groups graduate recruitment and apprentice schemes. The great success of the SS Tube Technology apprentice program has attracted the attention of ministers and apprentices alike and has ultimately led to the visits to the businesses today.
