This is a role where you will be responsible for the design and development of new products to Motorsport and Automotive industries.
You will be working with customers to understand requirements, and develop a solution that meets their technical and commercial requirements. You should be a highly capable individual with good attention to detail, methodical approach, a good Engineering background with a sound understanding of fundamental Engineering principles, and a desire to deliver the best possible solution at all times.
You should be degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline and will have gained some work experience in a similar environment. You will also demonstrate excellent CAD skills with surface modelling experience in SolidWorks and/or Catia V5 is essential. FEA skills would be desirable.

Reporting to the Operations Director the Purchasing Manager will take the lead in all purchasing and procurement activities, overseeing purchasing on both a strategic and operational level. You will work cross-functionally to deliver value, cost savings and improved performance employing an analytical and commercially minded approach.
Junior Metrology Engineer
This role will primarily focus on the programming and use of our CMM and Romer Arms. We are looking for a highly enthusiastic and capable individual with excellent numeracy skills, an eye for detail and a desire to learn new computer systems. This individual should be able to review Engineering drawings & CAD files and be able to use them to demonstrate dimensional and visual conformance of products that SST manufacture. There may also be occasions to assist in the running of the Inspection department as a whole. You will be trained in the use of existing equipment but the right candidate, who shows the initiative and can-do attitude to pro-actively develop these skills, will also be supported by additional external training to further develop their capabilities.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to make a complex but critical area of the inspection department their own, and learn some highly sought-after skills. If you have gained some experience within an engineering environment with an engineering degree to support that this is a great opportunity if you are looking to develop a career in Metrology and Quality.
The TIG Welder/Fabricator will be part of a highly skilled team of technicians, who can work independently or with other technicians in the manufacture of medical equipment. Work produced must meet the requirements of ISO 15614-1:2004 Specification.
Fabricator / Welder
Duties will involve fabricating aluminium components for predominately the defence and aerospace industries. As a skilled fabricator you will be able to weld products from technical drawings unaided and be confident working independently as well as part of a team.
We are looking for a highly capable, confident individual who can both plan and oversee CMM dimensional requirements for components that SST Technology manufacture whilst be flexible to still support if needed. The role will work alongside the Quality Manager and assist in the development of processes to control dimensional conformance within the machine shop area and provide guidance on themes and trends as a result of data analysis within the business. A positive, pro-active approach is critical, as is the ability to work to rapidly changing requirements under extremely tight timescales.

You will have a higher level vocational qualification and be interested in the development and manufacture of new products and processes for the motorsport industry. This role requires a very practical approach and the successful candidate will need to have a high level of talent and commitment.
Skilled Fabricators / Sheet Metal Workers
Experience of working with high grade metal alloys (Inconel and Titanium) is essential. We expect a high standard of quality, good productivity and flexibility to meet the needs of the business.
