Due to our continuing business growth we are seeking to recruit for the following roles:
Within the exciting and dynamic environment of SST Technology you will be developing and introducing new manufacturing processes, controls and procedures to production areas supporting new customer programmes coming through the business.
Working closely with Quality, Procurement and Operations teams you will be ensuring New Product Introduction runs smoothly, whilst defining and supporting continuous improvement programmes on existing product.
You must be self-motivated individual capable of consistently producing a high standard of work and naturally look to develop and improve yourself, others around you and in turn SST Technology as a business.
Project (Design) Engineer
This is a role where you will be responsible for the design, development and project management of new products to Motorsport and Automotive industries. You will be working with customers to understand requirements and develop a solution that meets their technical and commercial requirements. You should be a highly capable individual with good attention to detail, a methodical approach and a good engineering background with a sound understanding of fundamental engineering principles and a desire to deliver the best possible solution at all times.
You should be degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline and will have gained some work experience in a similar environment. The ability to demonstrate excellent CAD skills with surface modelling experience in SolidWorks and/or Catia V5 is essential. FEA skills would be desirable.
The key duties for this role are:
- Creating and developing CNC programmes for multi axis Lathes and Mills
- An understanding of Mazak and the Mazatrol controller to program the CNC Lathes
- Performing routine machine maintenance checks and completing check-sheet records
- Setting up of machines for production runs in both manned and unmanned periods
- Ability to create programmes and successfully prove them out to efficiently produce consistently accurate parts
The TIG Welder/Fabricator will be part of a highly skilled team of technicians, who can work independently or with other technicians in the manufacture of medical equipment. Work produced must meet the requirements of ISO 15614-1:2004 Specification.
Fabricator / Welder
Duties will involve fabricating aluminium components for predominately the defence and aerospace industries. As a skilled fabricator you will be able to weld products from technical drawings unaided and be confident working independently as well as part of a team.
You will have a higher level vocational qualification and be interested in the development and manufacture of new products and processes for the motorsport industry. This role requires a very practical approach and the successful candidate will need to have a high level of talent and commitment.
Skilled Fabricators / Sheet Metal Workers
Experience of working with high grade metal alloys (Inconel and Titanium) is essential. We expect a high standard of quality, good productivity and flexibility to meet the needs of the business.
